Bulgaria Air temporarily suspends flights to/from Tel Aviv until 20 July inclusive
Due to the conflict in the Middle East between Israel and Iran, all flights to and from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv have been suspended and the airspace in the area has been closed to civil aviation.
Given the situation and expert security recommendations, the Bulgaria Air team has decided to cancel flights to/from Tel Aviv from 13 June to 20 July inclusive. The cancellation of flights is due to force majeure circumstances and reasons beyond the airline's control, arising from the complicated international situation in view of the developing military conflict in the area.
The national carrier puts the safety of all its passengers, pilots and cabin crew first when operating flights. The airline apologises to all passengers on the affected flights and assures them that if the situation changes after 20 July, the available options for resuming flights to/from Tel Aviv will be considered. The Bulgaria Air team is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East, the recommendations of the state authorities, and after a full risk assessment will inform passengers about changes in travel options to/from Israel.
