Important information!

In relation to the Covid-19 spread and as a precautionary measure for passengers’ safety, we recommend wearing a protective mask during the flight. We recommend that passengers wear their masks during the entire process that accompanies boarding - from check-in, customs clearance and access to the gate.

When flying with Bulgaria Air each passenger is obliged to comply with the following security rules:

  • When boarding the aircraft you must occupy a precisely specified seat, indicated on your boarding pass. Occupying another seat or changing of places after seating may not take place without express permission of a member of the cabin crew;
  • It is necessary to carefully follow demonstrations on safety and emergency response that will be displayed by the cabin crew, but also to get acquainted with the Instructions for safety are in the back of the seat in front of you;
  • Use of electronic devices on board the aircraft during take-off and landing is strictly prohibited. After the ascent portable computers (with the exception of wireless Internet devices), PC games and video cameras may be used. Use of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices is strictly prohibited at all times and on all flights of Bulgaria Air;
  • Smoking on board the aircraft is strictly prohibited;
  • Passengers on board must follow all instructions and requirements of the aircraft cabin crew;
  • Taking pictures and videos on board on Bulgarian Air aircraft without permission is prohibited.

OBJECTS, WHICH MAY NOT BE CARRIED IN THE CABIN BAGGAGE

It is prohibited to bring into the restricted areas and on board the aircraft the following objects:

Rifles, firearms and other devices that discharge projectiles - devices, which can or presumably could be used for causing serious injury by discharging projectiles, including:

  • all types of firearms, such as pistols, revolvers, rifles, smoothbore guns;
  • toy firearms and models and imitations of firearms, which could be confused with real weapons;
  • component parts of firearms except for telescopic sights;
  • compressed-air and carbon dioxide guns, such as air pistols and rifles, pistols and rifles firing pellets, as well as pistols and rifles firing balls;
  • signal and starter pistols;
  • bows, crossbows and arrows;
  • harpoons and spear-shaped weapons;
  • slings and catapults.

Stun devices, designed specifically to incapacitate or immobilize, including:

  • devices inducing shock, such as stun guns, conducted electrical weapons (tasers), stunning batons;
  • means for stunning and slaughtering animals;
  • all kinds of chemical substances, gases and sprays, leading to immobilization and incapacitation, such as Chemical Mace, pepper sprays, tear gas, acid sprays and sprays against animals.

Objects with a sharp point or sharp edge/point, which could be used to cause serious injury, including:

  • objects intended for chopping, e.g. axe, hatchets and cleavers;
  • ice axes and hammers;
  • razor blades;
  • chisels;
  • knives with blade length exceeding 6 cm;
  • scissors with blade length exceeding 6 cm, measured from the point of connection of the blades;
  • items of martial arts equipment with sharp point or sharp edge;
  • swords and sabres.

Working tools, which could be used to cause serious injury or could endanger the safety of the aircraft, including:

  • iron rods;
  • drilling machines and drills, including portable cordless battery-powered drilling machines;
  • tools with a blade or an axis longer than 6 cm, which could be used as a weapon, such as screwdrivers and chisels;
  • saws, including portable cordless battery-powered saws;
  • soldering lamps;
  • screw bolt and nailers.

Blunt instruments, which could be used to cause serious injury by when used to hit, including:

  • baseball and softball bats;
  • sticks and batons, such as police batons etc.;
  • martial arts equipment.

Explosives and incendiary agents and devices, which can or presumably could be used for causing serious injury or endanger the safety of the aircraft, including:

  • ammunition;
  • blasting caps;
  • detonators and fuses;
  • models or imitations of explosive devices;
  • landmines, grenades and other containers, loaded with explosives;
  • fireworks and other pyrotechnical products;
  • smoke balls and cartridges;
  • dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.

OBJECTS, WHICH MAY NOT BE CARRIED IN THE CHECKED BAGGAGE

It is prohibited to transport in checked baggage the following objects:explosives, incendiary agents and devices, which can be used for causing serious injury or endanger the safety of the aircraft, including:

  • ammunition;
  • blasting caps;
  • detonators and fuses;
  • landmines, grenades and other containers, loaded with explosives;
  • fireworks and other pyrotechnical products;
  • smoke bombs and cartridges;
  • dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.
