Captain Radoslav Vassilev talks about the historic flight of the new Airbus A220-100 from Montreal to Sofia
Pilot Radoslav Vassilev, who is a commander and instructor at the national carrier Bulgaria Air, made a historic trans-oceanic flight with an Airbus A220-100 passenger aircraft without refueling. On December 18, 2024, he was the pilot in command of the flight that brought the sixth new aircraft, registered LZ-VIE, from the manufacturer's factory in Montreal, Canada to its home base in Sofia.

New UK entry rules come into force from 2 April 2025
We would like to inform you that from April 2025 there will be a change to the UK entry rules for all visitors. As part of the transformation and digitisation of borders, the UK is introducing an Electronic Travel Authorisation /ETA/ scheme. Travellers who do not need a visa to visit the UK, including Bulgarians as EU citizens, will need to apply in advance for an Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter the country after 2 April 2025.
