Bulgaria Air supports the national initiative “Postcard from…” with gifts for the winners
Diana Mladenova from Pernik won first place in the national photography competition "Postcard from...". She received her certificate personally from Deputy Minister of Tourism Pavlin Petrov at an official ceremony at the Ministry of Tourism on October 1
During the two-month initiative during the summer season, participants sent in nearly 1,000 beautiful photos from all over the country, united by the idea of showing the beauty of Bulgaria through their own eyes. A professional jury selected the finalists, and over 17,000 votes were cast during a week-long online poll. Vasil Ivanov from Pravets came in second place in the competition, and Rositsa Dimitrova from Varna came in third.
The photographers who ranked in the top three received certificates, prizes, and travel vouchers provided by Bulgaria Air, a partner in the initiative. They also received a subscription to Destinations magazine – the ultimate guide for your holiday, which will print and distribute the winner's photo as a real postcard.
Irina Peeva, senior market development expert in the national airline's team, said that the initiative was great and inspiring. The winner of the competition, Diana Mladenova, thanked the organizers and participants: "Every place is beautiful in its own way and cannot be compared. It was a pleasure for me to participate in this wonderful initiative, which reveals the beauty of Bulgaria."
The main part of the campaign included the presentation of 10 destinations in the country, which attracted enormous interest on social media. Among them, the picturesque village of Dolene reached nearly 1 million views on Facebook. It was this ethnic village that decided to turn its digital postcard into a real one, with which it now welcomes its visitors.
"Thousands of Bulgarians joined the campaign and shared the beautiful photos. I would like to congratulate your team on a job well done. Our common mission is to show more of Bulgaria's beauty to the world, including lesser-known places that visitors to the country and our compatriots can rediscover," said Deputy Minister of Tourism Pavlin Petrov.
The "Postcard from..." campaign is implemented by the National Information Agency Bgtourism.bg, which also held the second edition of the children's story contest "My Journey" during the year. The initiative aimed to inspire children to tell stories about their travels in Bulgaria and around the world in their own unique way, thus encouraging the development of their creative talents and imagination.
Bulgaria Air is a partner in both of the media's national initiatives, delighting participants with themed gifts and supporting their desire to travel, express themselves creatively, and let their imaginations run wild.
