Bulgaria Air – official partner of the 30th anniversary edition of Sofia Film Fest

For yet another year, the national carrier supports one of the most significant cultural events in Bulgaria – Sofia Film Fest as the official partner of the 30th anniversary edition of the festival.The prestigious international forum celebrates three decades on the big screen this March, dedicated to high-quality Bulgarian and world cinema, and has established itself as one of the leading film events in Southeast Europe.

The festival takes places from 12 to 31 March in the capital, featuring dozens of premiere screenings of major European and international titles. The anniversary edition offers a rich selection of films included in competitive and thematic programmes, among them the latest work by director Stephan Komandarev – Made in EU.

A highlight of the international film festival’s programme is the documentary competition, presenting an impressive selection of films covering a wide range of topics – from personal stories, intimate portraits and human destinies to major social phenomena and global issues. The selected titles demonstrate strong authorial perspectives on compelling themes and high artistic value, showcasing creators from various countries and cultures.

Part of the Sofia Film Fest 2026 programme will also be available online, running in parallel with the cinema screenings. From 13 March to 15 April, viewers across the country will be able to watch selected titles in the festival’s digital edition, expanding access to curated auteur cinema beyond the theatres in the capital.
